Ice lolly weather!

The sun is shining... or at least it was until it set. Summer it seems is back! Now I can't wait until Thursday when I'm having the day off, although I think I'm going to be really busy, but still I can enjoy it a little
In fact I seem to have been stupidly busy for quiet a while now.
Wednesday and Thursday last week I was off work sick and slept
Friday night I was out with work, and had a great time
Saturday I went to my cousins birthday party
Sunday we came back
Yesterday I was working
Today I was working
Tomorrow I'm working and baby sitting....
And now I think its time for bed. I leave you with the thought that its now over 18 months since I left my (now ex) husband and his crazy mother is still asking people if they are in touch with me... The woman is obsessed with me! Thank God I got away!

single and loving it!

jsut in froma staff night out. Much drinking and dancing on tables was involved! And yep I'm loving beinging single and living in the pretty shitty city. And it seems I am well known in the comapny as the one who left and came back! Its good to put faces to voices and it was wonderful being told I looked 'stunin' in thick Swansea accents! More than ever I know I did the right thing and having been divorced over a year I think its time I started enjoying myself!
And yes I did get shaving foamed, I can't wait til Christmas now!

Men in frog tshirts just don't do it for me

I'd had a really busy day at work. I just wanted to go home, but the bus was late. I knew the M4 was closed, but that had been hours before.

The guy in front of me was bald, stubbly and wearing a frog tshirt. He kept turning round and looking at me, and I was trying very hard not to look any where near him. I took my name badge off, all too late. Now I don't mind people being friendly, but I was not in the mood to be chatted up by a 44 year old penny less artist, who had been inhaling white spirt all day, who was wearing the afor mentioned frog tshirt and a lot of necklaces too. Thank God he wasn't on the same bus as me, although when he left to get on his he kept looking round at me.

I got home 30 minutes late in the end. Not too bad really. And the reason the M4 was closed, a woman had been thrown from a car. I guess my day wasn't so bad after all

But I still don't think I look 19.....

suspect packages and the bomb squad

well here I am home early.
About 2:30 we had a uniformed police man come in and tell us there was a suspect packaged up the road from us and it was closed. But we were fine.
So I went and collected scripts, and had a chat with the nurses from one of the surgeries we do stuff for.
I got back started ordering stuff from the whole salers and a police woman came in and said the bomb squad wanted us out. The woman I was on the phone to was rather bemuzed at it all as you can imagine.
Who knew working in Swansea could be so exciting?!!!

Miffed

I'm feeling slightly miffed. Last week I was told I would be staying where I'm working no problems. Today the area manager came round. She and my boss were talking. They were talking about me for part of it. Turns out I might not be staying after all, or not full time at any rate. I love working where I am and I don't want to be moving, especially after I was told I wouldn't have to. Looks like things have changed... Hopefully tomorrow I can talk to my boss and find out just what is going on and what my chances are. I've been studying hard tonight. That stuff numbs my brain, but the next lot should be harder which is good as that way it can challenge me more...

There isn't a lot of other news. I think I might have had a stomach bug over the weekend, it lasted about 36 hours. I'm feeling better now.

No new flirt news.... and tomorrow I think I might be hiding in my coat looking at the weather out there now. Where did the warm and balmy days of summer go?

I got a cheeky smile and a wave today! Ok so its not a lot, but I'd not seen him since Monday. I dread to think what I looked like as the wind was gusting about 60 miles an hour! It deffinitly means I start work with a smile on my face... I wonder what Monday will bring...
I was supposed to be going out tonight, but we had to reschedual to tomorrow. It feels odd being here having thought I was going out.... of well it'll be just as good tomorrow!

I just hope its not doing this tomorrow.... I want to arrive at work dry, and I don't want to be wet when I go out in the evening!

lazy days

I've been enjoying a lazy day today. Ok so my idea of a lazy day, is often my friend's idea of a busy one, but still its been good. I just wish I wasn't feeling so lathirgic, but I think thats more the weather than anything else. We've had our hottest April since records began, followed by the wettest June since 1914. What hapened to the tales of global warming leading to scorching summers and cold winters. Once again it feels like a blah November day and we've got the heating on in the evenings. I guess I was spoilt by having such varied seasons in the US....
I'm going to go watch chick flicks and do some more sewing I think. My lastest projects coming on well, but I think I really do need to finish hemming my work trousers. There are only so many times I can wear them unhemmed.... I hate hemming!
